Help...I messed up

Psalm 51 starts out with a view into King David's repentant heart. He recently was busted for creating a big mess in his life and the life of several others around him. This section stands out... Have mercy on me, O God,
because of your unfailing love. Because of your great compassion,
blot out the stain of my sins. Wash me clean from my guilt.
Purify me from my sin. For I recognize my rebellion;
it haunts me day and night. (Psalm 51:1-3 NLT)

I believe that this the response model for every person caught in sin. When we mess up we first need to acknowledge it and then admit that we truly sinned not only against a person but the God who created that person. God was merciful to David but the sin left a scar that would forever remind him of the pain that sin does to us.

My prayer for today is that God would continue provide his mercy over me and that I would think twice before I act sinfully toward others. God help me to live in the truth of your word and the grace of your forgiveness.

Something New

I acquired a new piece of technology this week. My new iPad! I have waited patiently...almost patiently...since the first generation came out. After using for a couple of day I am amazed at its design and ability. It will be fun to see how I adapt to using it.
